Padlet (formerly Wallwisher) is an online, collaborative Whiteboard that works well on computers AND iPads!!
Using Padlet, you can set up a 'wall' and invite others to contribute by giving them the URL. Once others are on the wall, it's very easy to add a 'note' with text, images and URL links.

Here is an example of a Padlet I did with a group of students. I asked them to share with me their favorite Cloud Apps > http://padlet.com/wall/6y883ncccn
How to set up a Padlet:
Once your wall has been set up to your liking, simply provide the URL to your participants and they will be able to add notes to the wall. It is easy to add text, images and links to a note. Participants have the ability to move their own note around on the wall, but not those of others. You have the ability to move all participants' notes around.
How to set up a Padlet:
- go to http://padlet.com
- choose 'Build a Wall'
- choose 'Modify Wall
- in the Profile tab, you can choose a Portrait, Title and Description
- there are also tabs for Wallpaper, Layout, Privacy, Notifications, Address (where you can choose a custom URL)
- the final tab is called 'You' and this is one of the places where you can sign up for a Padlet account - this is recommended to give you the ability to save and edit all the walls you create

When your Padlet is complete, choose the Export/Share button to see your options for sharing. You will find that you are able to embed this on your website, add it to a Wordpress site or blog, or provide a URL for others to view.
